To get Kaminoyama (Yamagata) Successfully

Narita Airport =[1 hr.]=> (changing at Tokyo sta.) =[nearly 2.5 hr.]=> Kaminoyama Onsen Station.


Detail of traveling
  1. After getting Tokyo (Narita) Airport, go the basement of the building to get a train.
  2. Then, please find the ticket counter as shown in the following picture. The JR symbol is painted by green color. If you ask a person, please say "JR Midorino Madoguchi".
  3. When you reach the ticket service counter, Please buy the ticket for Kaminoyama Onsen via Tokyo. Train name to final destination is "Narita Express"(Narita to Tokyo) and "Tsubasa"(Tokyo to Kaminoyama). Otherwise, please show the staff THIS (download and print out) if you want to go to the conference venue directly.

Go to the terminal 1 (red sign) of "Narita express" to Tokyo.


  1. When you get the Tokyo Station, the train will enter the terminal at 2nd Floor of Basement. From there, please find the following sign. Supter-express train simbol is the following green mark.
Find this sign. Pictgram of Shinkansen (Super-express train).


  1. Then, go the ground floor with following the Shinkansen sign. You can find this view.

  1. After that, find the following Shinkansen Entrance.
Note: Do not follow the blue color sign (You will get different location. )

  1. Find the Shinkansen name "Tsubasa" at the electric sign.


The train you will take, two shinkansens are jointed. Please get on the green simbol train at Tokyo terminal of Tohoku shinkansen. DO NOT get the blue-yellow color train (it will go to the different destination Sendai).
To the Shinkansen terminal No. 20 to 23. "Tsubasa" = Orange sign.

  1. Please Get off at "Kaminoyama Onsen Sta.". (It takes about 3 hours from Tokyo terminal to the Kaminoyama Onsen. )
  2. In front of the Kaminoyama Onsen Sta., you can find the following flag and hotel bus.
